March 19, 2011

We have an issue with the  Weather Underground Rapid Fire program not updating.   We have checked the configuration of the weather program, and the issue is with Weather Underground,  Until we can get the Rapid  Fire issue resolved, it has been removed from the site.

February 20, 2011

We have had a major server issue, that could not be resolved to allow the server to continue to run and stay online.  With this in mind, we have replaced the server with a new HP 6720f desktop pc, which is considerable more powerful.   Please bear with us while the wx program is fully functional.   We do apologize for this issue, but from here on out, it should run smoothly.

January 27-28, 2009
Due to MAJOR ice storm, we suffered a power outage at the server location. UPS ran until battery drained, and weather uploads ceased. All weather information was stored on the weather console, and updated on the weather computer once power and internet access was restored (around 9 pm, on 1-28). No data was lost.

July 18, 2008
Added the crude oil price and national average gas prices to site.

July 11, 2007
The Storm Predator Weather Radar program was upgraded to version 3.21.  This was delayed due to continued rainfall, and we did not want the radar to be offline for any period of time.

May 25, 2007
The NOAA All-Hazards radio rebroadcast was switched from the Morrilton, AR feed to the Little Rock, AR feed (162.475 MHz to 162.550 MHz) due to persistent 'hum' in the transmitter feed.

May 21, 2007
Storm Predator radar is back online.

May 20, 2007
Storm Predator radar is down due to authentication error

May 6, 2007
NOAA All Hazards Radio is experiencing some transmitter issues.  Until this is resolved, you will hear a 'hum' in the broadcast.

April 28, 2007
The issue with the NWS radar has been resolved.

April 27, 2007
Upgraded radar software to latest version.  Radar is back online, however, the NWS is having issues at the present time, so the radar image is not current..

April 27, 2007
We are experiencing a radar outage.  This occurred around 8:36 am today.  We are working to correct this issue.

April 24, 2007
Main page was modified to automatically reload every 180 seconds, to refresh the current radar image.

April 20, 2007
Added the Weather Underground Rapid Fire current weather display.  This will update every few seconds, and it has been put on the main page for convenience.

April 20, 2007
We suffered a broadband outage for about 4 hours, then a human outage (I failed to restart the Storm Prredator and NOAA Weather Radio uplink)

April 12, 2007
Added the National Weather Service links to their Regional and US Mosaic Radar Images
under "Maps & Radars"

March 1, 2007
Upgraded the Storm Predator radar to version 3.12, and it did not function as it should.  Rolled the radar back to version 3.11 until issues are fixed.

February 26, 2007
NOAA All Weather Hazards Radio was taken off the air for about 30 minutes for antenna coax upgrade.

February 24, 2007
Added the radar legend back to the home page, that had been accidentally removed.

February 23, 2007
The website update of the virus/firewall software has been completed.

February 23, 2007
Web site is down until about 9 pm Central Time, Friday, Feb. 23, for software upgrade.

February 23, 2007
Color scheme changed.  Auto refresh has been removed from our home page.  You will need to manually refresh the page for the current conditions.  This auto refresh removal was due to the NOAA All Hazards streaming audio being added.  When auto refresh is enabled, and the audio is muted on the control panel, the auto refresh would cause the feed to remove the mute, and would cause the broadcast on the start again on the computer.

February 22, 2007
Added the site status page

February 21, 2007

Redesigned the pages, moving objects and links around to make the page fit most browsers, and adding the background color.   In the past, if you were on low resolutions, parts of the pages were off the screen.

February 21, 2007

Added the NOAA All Hazards Radio Streaming Audio to the main page.  This will automatically start playing when the page loads, provided you have the correct Windows Media Player.  It can be silenced by clicking the button on the player.   It will NOT play on Firefox browsers.

January 10, 2007

Added Storm Predator Radar to the site.  With this radar program, we can choose any radar in any state, and post them on the website.  You may occasionally see radar images from other areas.  This will be helpful during the hurricanes season.
